Free medical mission benefit eight clusters of IDP communities in Marawi

Series of free medical missions were conducted for internally displaced persons in Marawi city and who have recently either resettled or returned in its eight barangays.

This medical missions were conducted by Maradeca Inc. in partnership with City Health Office and Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace and Reconciliation Unit (OPAPRU) and the United Nations Development of the Philippines (UNDP).

Beneficiaries of this mission were clustered evacuees and staying in barangays Bito Buadi Parba, Bito Buadi Itowa, Somiorang, Mipantao Gadongan, Timbangalan, Sugod Proper, Patani and Pugaan.

Dr. Cabiba S. Macapaar of the City Health Office led the team.

Medical practitioners provided free consultation services and medicines to patients, most of whom are lactating  mothers, children, senior citizens, and persons with disability.

Bolawan A. Amoran expressed its an opportunity for IDPs to avail these services specially that we don’t have sufficient income and we are  hard to avail commercial medications.

The medical mission was conducted on February 18, 21, 26 and 28, 2019.
