Post-harvest Training: Improves Coffee Quality and Market Value

Proper post-harvest handling is critical for coffee quality and market value, yet it remains challenging for smallholder farmers in Bangsamoro. To address this gap, the Coffee Post-Harvest Handling and Processing training under LEAP project reached 808 participants across Basilan and Sulu: 66 participants from Barangay Buheyawas, Lamitan City, and Barangay Tairan, Lantawan in Basilan, and 742 participants from 10 barangays across Patikul, Indanan, and Talipao in Sulu.

Building Resilience Among Lanao IDPs Thru New Livelihood Support

Three cooperatives, counting members are the former internally displaced residents in Lanao del Sur received needed boost to their sustenance in a fresh livelihood support from donors. On June 24–25 the Maranao People Development Center (MARADECA), Inc., and the United Nations Development

MARADECA conducts TB Active Case Finding for Cebu health office

An Active TB Case Finding (ACF)
activity in Cebu province during the first quarter for the
Provincial Health Office of Cebu.
From March 6 to March 28, the ACF found 140 persons
who tested positive and have already started TB treatment.

Twenty-three coffee farmers from Basilan and Sulu were sent for an exposure visit to coffee farms and processing facilities in Davao del Sur from September 18-24, 2024 to introduce them to quality coffee farming, appropriate technologies and coffee-processing facilities.
